Thomas Thiollier

Thomas ThiollierThomas specialises in strategic e-marketing planning and business development within the tourism industry, especially within the hospitality sector where he began his career. He has extensive experience in international commercial and marketing roles, with a strong business development angle.

Prior to consulting, Thomas held senior positions within the UK and other countries including France and Germany. He was Head of Sales and Marketing for NetworksforTourism in London where he was in charge of establishing and developing strategic partnerships including those with e-tourism organisations such as Expedia, lastminute.com, Amadeus, etc. as well as selling the N4T platform to governments and other organisations. His role also entailed sales and marketing co-ordination with the UK Government and the regional tourist boards.

Before that he was sales manager in Berlin for Lufthansa Systems / omnis-online Tourismus Services GmbH & Co. KG. His role was to start up the global Regional Service Provider network, and lead the acquisition of partners in 80 countries worldwide (50 key accounts) within 10 months.

He was also in charge of setting up and co-ordinating regional business planning, business models, strategic alliances, sales and marketing strategy, international sales and marketing consultancy, training, management and support of the network.

The position included the management of market supervision, co-ordination of the software development with Lufthansa System and Pago as well as the management of customer training, product installation and representation.

Before joining Lufthansa, Thomas was Sales and Marketing Manager for the Envergure Group (930 Hotels, chains and independents in Europe) and was responsible for two product lines in Germany and Austria (DEM 10 million worth Portfolio). He developed the corporate travel sector in Germany and Austria and also managed the leisure tourism activity, contracting with the leading German and Austrian travel agencies (online bookings and reservation computer systems) and tour operators.

Thomas started his career with the Accor Group in the USA working in sales, marketing and human resources.
