John Pritchard

John PritchardJohn is an economics graduate and has extensive (30 years) tourism industry marketing and project management experience. He has held senior executive positions with leading UK companies (including Deloitte, Horizon and Elegant Hotels) and has been lead consultant on numerous national and international tourism development projects worldwide. John has worked on tourism destination master plans for Kuwait, Uganda, St. Helena, Curacao, St. Lucia and The Gambia and has developed destination marketing strategies for Jamaica, Kenya, Namibia, Swaziland and Botswana. He has also been appointed by the EU to conduct a series of international tourism development project evaluations.

In 2004 John was responsible for establishing the "PROFIT in the Caribbean" Investment Conference funded by the EU and bringing together over 200 Tourism Business enterprises from Europe, North America and the Caribbean.

John has expert knowledge in researching and preparing detailed analyses of the European, North and South American, the Gulf and Australasian source travel markets. He has broad experience of market research and planning, market re-positioning, tourism product audits, destination management strategies, stand-alone and integrated overseas tourism offices and destination marketing organisations.

As Managing Director of Holiday Club International he was awarded the UK's highest accolade from the Chartered Institute of Marketing for "Marketing Excellence".
